Now that we have researched the work of Slinkachu and planned how we will respond to his work, it is time for us to take our photographs. You should complete at least one shoot during today's session. This should be the same shoot you planned in the last task. You will then edit these photos into a response during your next session.
Task 1: Green (grade 1/2) - Complete one shoot where you take 12 photographs in response to Slinkachu.
Amber (grade 3/4) -Complete two shootswhere you take 15-20 photographs, working from your photoshoot plan.
Red (grades 5+) - Take as many photographs as you wish. Variety is key - try to vary the angles from which you take your photographs, how close you are to your subject, which parts of the scene you are zooming in on etc. Ensure that all of your photographs are in focus, and are both clear & concise. Remember to play with compositional guidelines in your images.

Session 5
Task 1: a) Upload your images onto your Mac. b) Create a 'Photography 102' folder in your documents. c) Drag your photographs into your new folder. d) Eject the SD card by dragging it to the rubbish bin on your desktop e) Pass your SD Card to someone else in your group (if you are sharing). f) Create a new slide on your Photography 102 Slides document g) Upload your photos to your Slides by dragging them from your documents. h) Display your photography in rows of 4 images i) Put a title above your images of 'Slinkachu Response Contact Sheet'.
Task 2: Open your favourite photo on Affinity and complete some subtle edits to enhance your image. Remember that your work should still look like Slinkachu's, so don't edit your photo too much or you might lose the effect of a response.
You might like to play with the following in the adjustments panel: - White balance - Brightness and contrast - Vibrance - Curves Remember that you should always crop your image using the Crop Tool on the left hand side before you complete any other edits.
Task 3: Export your edited photo as a JPEG then upload to a new slide of your Photography 102 Slides document. Title this photo 'Edited Slinkachu Response'.
Task 4: Green (grade 1/2) Write a short paragraph to review your photo shoot and edited photo. Put this underneath your large edited photo. Discuss the following: - What did you do during the photo shoot? - How did you take your photos, what props/lighting did you use and why? - Did you create a mood/atmosphere through the way that you placed your objects? How? - What are the strengths of your edited photos and why?
Amber (grade 3/4) As with the green task, but also write about the following: - How could you develop this style of photography in your own way? Remember that to develop, you would take an aspect of Slinkachu's style then make changes in your own individual and creative way. - What could you do differently in either the photo shoot or the editing? Red (grades 5+) As with the amber task, but also carry out whatever you just said you could do above to develop the style independently. This would need to be done when everything else is finished OR at home. It might involve a new photo shoot, it might just be a different edit.
