Pixlr: is a great FREE online alternative to Affinity. We use Affinity in school for editing photos, and we also have offered it to you to use at home. Unfortunately some students struggle to access it at home.
Lockdown has forced me to look for alternatives, and Pixlr is a great option.
Please use the links below and watch the videos to learn how to use it - you'll see it is very similar to Affinity, possibly even easier to use as when you hover on the buttons it tells you what they do.
These videos are all 2-3 minutes long. To make it easier for yourself, watch them then have a play with the software to familiarise yourself with it before you begin a project.
Techniques to try
Use your time out of school to improve your skills. Work through the tutorials to learn new techniques - you never know what will be useful next year. If you edit your own photographs using these techniques you can submit them as part of your coursework. You cannot submit edits using downloaded photos (although you will still learn the techniques)
