Green (grade 1/2) - Find the shutter speed settings on the camera, and take it in turns with who is behind the camera, experimenting with both slow and fast shutter speeds. - Have people move at different speeds and take photos as they move. - Aim to have two clear photos that shows frozen action (fast shutter speed) and two that show motion (slow shutter speed) in your image. Amber (grade 3/4)
- As with the green task, but take charge of the composition of your photo when you are behind the camera. - Consider compositional guidelines in your work and how you want the overall photos you take to look: What do you want the background to be? How are you going to control the light in your image? Are you filling the frame or taking a wide shot? - Aim to have three clear photos that show frozen action (fast shutter speed) and three that show motion (slow shutter speed) in your image. Red (grades 5+)
As with the amber task but try to be as creative as possible with your images to produce an interesting set of 8 photographs. Aim to have four photographs which show motion (slow shutter speed) and frozen action (fast shutter speed) in your images. |
