The first step of any project is to take a look at a variety of inspirational images.
We can record this first stage of our research by creating mood boards. The images you which you choose to include should help to give you ideas of how you might like to respond to the theme you have chosen and the work of artists whose work you may like to research should also be included. |
Task 1:
a) Add a new page onto your site (the name of it should be the title of the theme you have chosen from the Exam Paper). b) Add a new title at the top of your page. Copy and paste the question from my site below your title. c) Add a spacer and a subheading of 'Mood Board' d) Create a gallery of 8+ images relating to your theme. e) Add a caption to any images which you have included where you know the name of the artist who created them. Task 2: Add a text box underneath your gallery and explain/annotate what is interesting about at least 2 of the images in a couple of sentences on your page. You can use one or more of the sentence starters below to help you: The image I find most interesting is...because... The image has been created by... I think this type of photography is effective because... I would like to experiment with this type of photography by... Green (grade 1/2) - You have included 8 images in your mood board which link to your chosen theme. Your page has an appropriate title. Mind maps can take a variety of different forms, from detailed and meticulous to simple and basic - it really depends on how useful you want them to be later on.
Take a look at these examples, you can see how varied they are in layout and style. Some include images, others have been grouped together according to the ideas they include. Some have lots of detail where as others are more simple. It is your choice. |
