Focus lock on your phone:
On most phones you can also use Focus Lock to lock the focus on whichever subject you select – even if you move your camera around. This is really useful, because sometimes by moving your camera, it automatically changes the focus and you end up having to take your photo again. By using focus lock, you can move around and take lots of photos from different angles without worrying about constantly refocussing your camera. To do this, just press and hold on whatever you would like to be in focus until the square around it says AE/AF lock. |
Focus Lock on a DLSR:
1. Focus on your subject. 2. Hold down the shutter button halfway to ‘lock’ the camera on your subject. 3. You can now move your camera around the change your frame and ensure perfect composition with your subject still in focus (this is especially useful when Framing your subject or using the Rule of Thirds). Watch the video to see it in action on a DSLR camera. |
