Task 1:
Green (grade 1-3) Create two double exposure experiments using the same photograph - Use a portrait photo you took during the 'portraits & lighting' shoot. Use photographs which are in focus and that you think were successful. Use a different image than the one you used in the background replacement task. - Download and use an overlay from the files below. - Complete two double exposures using the same image - changing the opacity and the order of the layers to make your images look different. - Watch the video tutorial and use the instructions above to help you.

Amber (grade 4-5)
Create 4 double exposure experiments - Use 2 different portrait photos you have taken during this project (this can be any photograph which you think has been successful) - Find 2 different backgrounds/overlays online (or use one from the files above), which you think fit with the original photograph you have chosen to work with. - Using the instructions above, complete 2 double exposures for each portrait photograph and save (so you should have 4 images in total). |
Red (grades 6+)
Create 4 double exposure experiments As with the Amber task, but after you have created your double exposures edit your images using adjustments like saturation, exposure etc in order to match your portrait with the background and have a more creative outcome overall. Going for Gold - Challenge Combine the replacement Background Replacement and Double Exposure techniques to create one more experiment - ensure that you have adjusted levels, saturation, brightness etc. to ensure the photograph looks unified. |
