For your homework tasks so far, you have deconstructed a film poster & planned and completed your shoot to recreate it.

The final stage of this series of homework tasks is to edit your photos using affinity (or any other editing software which you have access to at home, photopea.com or pixlr.com are great options) and add text to them to create a finished recreation.
Task 1: Green (grade 1-3) a) Choose your favourite photograph(s) from your Film Poster Recreation Shoot. b) Edit your photo(s) so that they look as close to the original poster as possible. This might mean making basic adjustment edits such as cropping, exposure, saturation, contrast - as you have done in previous lessons.
Amber (grade 4-5) a) Choose your favourite photograph(s) from your Film Poster Recreation Shoot. b) Edit your images using the editing techniques you have learnt in order to make your image as close to the original as possible. You might use: - Basic enhancements such as as cropping, exposure, saturation, contrast etc. - Replace the background - Double exposure - Selective colour changing - Any other technique which you feel confident with If you are unsure which techniques you might need to use to edit your photograph successfully then please talk to me so that I can help you with your creative process.
Red (grades 6+) a) Choose your favourite photograph(s) from your Film Poster Recreation Shoot. If you think that you can improve upon the photographs you have taken previously you can plan and take a new set of photos for this poster if you would like. Remember to upload your new set of photographs underneath the title 'Poster Recreation Refinement Shoot'. b) Edit your images using the techniques you have previously learnt in order to make your image as close to the original as possible. You might use: - Basic enhancements such as as cropping, exposure, saturation, contrast etc. - Replace the background - Double exposure - Selective colour changing - Any other technique which you feel confident with - Any new techniques which you can find a tutorial for online If you are unsure which techniques you might need to use to edit your photograph successfully then please talk to me so that I can help you with your creative process.
Task 2: Complete your poster by adding the suitable typographical elements of a film poster according to the poster which you are recreating. Remember that most posters have some (or all) of the following: - The movie title - Thetag line - The name of the director - Names of main actors or characters - Production company logo - The release date - A billing block
You can add these elements in Affinity if you would like, or you may want to experiment with an online programme like Canva or Posterini (you will need to make a free account using your school email if you would like to try Posterini).
